WASH Commission Launches Joint Interagency Compliance Monitoring in Montserrado County June 10 to July 10, 2025

This is to inform the Public that the National Water Sanitation & Hygiene Commission will be leading a Joint Interagency Compliance Monitoring exercise of Public Businesses in
Montserrado County. The compliance monitoring exercise will commence from Tuesday, June 10, to Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM daily.

Businesses to be visited during the joint monitoring exercise include

  1. Drinking Water Processing Companies
  2. Restaurants/Catering Services
  3. Food Processing Plants/Factories
  4. Water Quality Laboratories
  5. Supermarkets, Mini-Marts, and Stores
  6. Hotels, Motels, and Guest Houses

The Department of Compliance and Regulation will lead the process in collaboration with
Inspectors from the National Public Health Institute of Liberia (NPHIL), the Ministry of Health (MOH), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI), the Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation (LWSC), the Ministry of Justice (MoJ),
Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA) and the Liberia National Police (LNP).

The Compliance and Monitoring exercise is intended to assess the Compliance of Businesses and relevant Institutions in the provision of WASH Service delivery with quality and
efficiency.

We therefore call on all businesses and entities that are within the categories mentioned above to cooperate with the Joint Inspection Team during the period of this exercise.
